Poster: TWICS - Two-Way Integrated ConfigurationManagement and Software Deployment

Abstract: The TWICS project is defining a two-way integrated configuration management and software deployment system for component-based software. TWICS enables the deployment and configuration of external components in a local development environment, as well as the subsequent packaging and delivery of a resulting system, in both an effective and controlled manner. The project addresses deployment and configuration issues related to component-based software, such as managing component dependencies, capturing policies related to deployment and transitive deployment of components, and providing a framework for sharing components while respecting different levels of autonomy and privacy of component developers.
