TWIST 2000 will be held at the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine), which is 10 minutes/4 miles from the Orange County/John Wayne Airport. It is 1 hour - 1 hour 30 minutes (depending on traffic)/45 miles from LAX.

Maps

Printable campus maps and maps of the area around Information and Computer Science are available. The workshop will be held in the McDonnell Douglas Auditorium (building #311 on a UC Irvine map). Lunch will be held at the University Club (building #32).

Directions

The most convenient entrance to UC Irvine is from the 73 freeway. Exit at Bison - which is the last exit before the toll road begins.

If you are coming from the north, take the Bison exit and turn left onto Bison, which takes you into UC Irvine.

If you are coming from the south, take the Bison exit and turn right onto Bison, which takes you into UC Irvine.

You will come to a lighted intersection. Go right onto East Peltason Drive (it will be West Peltason Drive if you go left). At the first stop sign (Los Trancos Rd on the right), go left into parking lot 18/18A. Make an immediate right into lot 18A.

You can also enter UC Irvine from University Drive or Campus Drive. See the campus maps.

Parking

We have blocked off a section of parking spaces in lot 18A for the workshop. There is no charge for you to park in this reserved section. An attendant will be at the entrance to this section of spaces; you will need to indicate that you are here for TWIST 2000.
