Five Problems URIs Don't Solve

Abstract:

Considering the history and goals of the various kinds of Uniform Resource Identifiers, there are a number of issues that were deemed "Someone Else's Problem". This talk reviews and gives examples of five problems that current and proposed URIs do not address, even though many believe that URIs should solve them.
