Call for Proposals: MASSIVE Student Game Showcase

What: A showcase of student-created games to take place during the reception for MASSIVE: Research Summit on the Future of Networked Multiplayer Games: http://www.isr.uci.edu/events/massive/

When: April 20, 5:30pm-8:30pm (set-up 3:00-5:00pm) / Proposal deadline April 10

Where: Calit2 Building, Room 2006

Why: Show your games to industry professionals and schmooze with recruitment officers from major game companies

How: If you have a cool game that you’ve created in a class or on your own, send an e-mail w/ the heading MASSIVE Student Game Showcase no later than April 10 to: celiap@uci.edu

Include the following:

• Game Title
• A short description of 200 words or less
• 1-2 small file size jpegs of either screenshots or sketches.
• List of people involved in creating the game
• Specify if the game was created for a class, and if so, specify class, term and instructor

Selected applicants will be informed by April 13

Requirements:

• Open to all UCI students in all departments.
• You can show demos of working games and prototypes, posters or storyboards of works-in-progress.
• If you plan to show working games be prepared to bring your own equipment.
• Don't forget to bring a resumé!
