Knijnenburg SS 2013

Bart Knijnenburg (A. Kobsa, advisor), has been awarded one of only 39 Google Ph.D. fellowships awarded this year; this global program supports outstanding graduate students pursuing work in computer science, related disciplines, or promising research areas. Knijnenburg also presented his paper “Preference-based Location Sharing: Are More Privacy Options Really Better?” at the ACM SIGCHI Conf. on Human Factors in Computing, held in Paris, France. The paper was co-authored by his advisor, Alfred Kobsa, and Hongxia Jin of Samsung.
